Place a small mouse door somewhere discreet in your house. Absolutely charming.

Supplies needed: Soft wood, 4" x 1" x 12" - pine works well
Wood carving tools and hammer
Utility knife
Doll house hinges and door knob
Wood stain
Patience
Glue
Craft hand saw, fine tooth
Picture frame saw tooth type hanger and a nail
Instructions:

By hand with wood carving and chisels and hammer, gently cut away wood at the end of the 12" piece until you have the desired look. It easy to say but it is a long project.
Cut the top curve of the door at the beginning. Leave the bottom of the wood to hold onto while making your cuts.
When you are done, cut off hte bottom of your board, leaving only the doorstep up.
Stain the door, glue on the door hardware.
Add the picture hanger on the back and tuck int o a corner on a nail to secure it.
