Mamasan continues to sit above our heads during the day in the back yard, comes most of the time we call him, and readily feed at all our feeders. We still miss Mama, fear the next time one of the cats manage to catch a hummer (how DO they do this?) and pray they are making their nests and sleeping far out of kitty reach.

There is an area in the back fourty between the nursery and the greenhouse where we have planted roses, laid gravel and sit in two chairs with an old wire reel for a table. Remember those? We now call this the hummer area, where we sit at the end of the day, pet the animals and watch the antics of the hummers who fly about, contesting over the feeder and chasing each other through the skies. One little boy has an extremely prominent white collar, so, we call him Robert Taylor Thomas. A truly white collar name.
